We are back, and after getting a stunning 9/10 on our Champions League predictions this week (thanks for nothing, Juventus!), we are rolling into the Europa League and Conference League with a 10-game monster ticket.
The total odds on this one are a staggering 12,842!
Listen, with odds this high, I strongly advise everyone to use a “Cut One” feature. We were one game off a 1,927-odd win on Tuesday and Wednesday. Don’t let a single game stop you from cashing out on a ticket this big.
Let’s break down the picks.
1. Feyenoord vs. Panathinaikos
Binocular’s Pick: Feyenoord 3-0 Panathinaikos
Competition: Europa League
Analysis: Feyenoord have had a surprisingly poor start to their Europa campaign (0 points from 2 games). However, their domestic form is a different story, as they sit 1st in the Eredivisie. A night game at De Kuip is the perfect antidote. Panathinaikos will struggle with the intensity, and I’m backing Feyenoord for a massive, angry response to silence their critics.
2. Braga vs. Crvena Zvezda
Binocular’s Pick: Braga 2-0 Crvena Zvezda
Competition: Europa League
Analysis: This is historically a very tight fixture. According to Sofascore’s H2H data, in their last 5 meetings, it’s one win each and three draws. That’s how even it is. But Braga’s home form in Europe is formidable. They should have enough quality and defensive organization to secure a clean sheet and a vital 2-0 win.
3. Fenerbahce vs. Stuttgart
Binocular’s Pick: Fenerbahce 3-1 Stuttgart
Competition: Europa League
Analysis: A trip to Istanbul is one of the most difficult away days in football. Fotmob’s stats show Fenerbahce are in relentless form, unbeaten in their domestic league and scoring at will. Stuttgart are a quality Bundesliga side, which is why I’ve backed them to get a goal. But the atmosphere and Fener’s attack will be too much. A 3-1 home win looks great.
4. Go Ahead Eagles vs. Aston Villa
Binocular’s Pick: GA Eagles 0-3 Aston Villa
Competition: Conference League
Analysis: This is a classic mismatch. As noted by WhoScored, Unai Emery’s Aston Villa have a perfect record in this competition so far, winning their games and conceding zero goals. Go Ahead Eagles are European debutants, and this is a massive step up. Villa’s quality will shine through for a comfortable 0-3 away win.
5. Red Bull Salzburg vs. Ferencvarosi
Binocular’s Pick: Salzburg 3-1 Ferencvarosi
Competition: Europa League
Analysis: While both teams have had mixed form recently, Salzburg’s pedigree in European home games is on another level. WhoScored’s odds favor them as the clear home-team pick. Ferencvarosi are a strong side but tend to struggle when they travel against high-pressing teams. I expect Salzburg to control the tempo and win 3-1.
6. Lille vs. PAOK
Binocular’s Pick: Lille 4-0 PAOK
Competition: Conference League
Analysis: A very confident home pick. Lille’s home stadium, the Decathlon Arena – Stade Pierre Mauroy, is a fortress. PAOK are a decent side but have a poor record traveling to top-5 leagues. I’m predicting a dominant performance from Lille’s attack, leading to a 4-0 thumping.
7. Roma vs. Viktoria Plzen
Binocular’s Pick: Roma 3-0 Viktoria Plzen
Competition: Europa League
Analysis: Roma’s league form has been poor, but this is a “get right” game. The H2H stats from Sofascore are key: the last time these two met at the Stadio Olimpico (in 2018), Roma won 5-0. I’m expecting a similar story. Plzen will be overwhelmed, and Roma will cruise to a 3-0 victory.
8. AZ Alkmaar vs. Slovan Bratislava
Binocular’s Pick: AZ Alkmaar 5-1 Slovan Bratislava
Competition: Conference League
Analysis: This is a massive “bounce-back” spot. AZ were humiliated 4-0 by AEK Larnaca in their last European outing. A result like that does one of two things: it breaks a team, or it makes them furious. I’m betting on the latter. They will come out with a point to prove at home and take all that frustration out on Slovan Bratislava.
9. Crystal Palace vs. AEK Larnaca
Binocular’s Pick: C Palace 6-0 Larnaca
Competition: Conference League
Analysis: Don’t be fooled by Larnaca’s 4-0 win over AZ. This is Crystal Palace, at Selhurst Park, under the lights. The step-up in quality is enormous. Even with rotation, Palace’s Premier League squad depth will be far too much for the Cypriot side. I’m predicting an absolute demolition.
10. Freiburg vs. FC Utrecht
Binocular’s Pick: Freiburg 3-0 FC Utrecht
Competition: Europa League
Analysis: This is one of the more straightforward picks. According to stats from SportsGambler, Freiburg are sitting comfortably in the group with 4 points. Utrecht are bottom with 0 points, having failed to even score in the competition. At home in Germany, Freiburg will be totally dominant. A 3-0 win is a very safe bet.
