Erling Haaland Is Already Chasing Alan Shearer's Record. The Scary Part Is How Fast He Could Get There.

Alan Shearer’s Premier League scoring record of 260 goals has stood for over two decades. It survived Thierry Henry. It survived Wayne Rooney. It survived Sergio Agüero, Harry Kane, and Mohamed Salah. Every generation produced a striker capable enough to make the conversation interesting, and every generation eventually fell short.

Erling Haaland is a different problem.

What the Record Would Actually Mean
